31. 1. 2013 - Field expedition to Namibie and Botswana

A month-long ecological expedition to Namibie and Botswana took place in November 2012. We have investigated environmental and biological diversity along gradient of humidity, that is manifested as a gradient of afforestation under local conditions. We have studied diversity among mammals, birds and plants. Second goal of our expedition was palaeoecological interpretation of Early Holocene "Green Sahara" phase in North Africa, based on South African recent analogies.
