Jakub Steiner is an economist working in the Center for Theoretical Studies, at Cerge-Ei, and at the University of Edinburgh. He specializes in economic theory and game theory, and has worked on the topic of economic coordination and on frictional decision processes. He is interested in behavioral economics. He is a member of the Review of Economic Studies board, and has worked at the Northwestern University, and in the People in Need NGO. He has published in the American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Theory, Economic Journal, and elsewhere.

He is married to Alžběta, and has a daughter Jolana.
