David Storch, Ph.D. (1970) is a biologist interested in macroecology, biodiversity and ecological theory. He teaches these subjects at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, as well as at some other Czech universities. He coauthored books "Evolution", "An introduction to contemporary ecology", "Habitats
of the Czech Republic" (in Czech) and co-edited the book "Scaling Biodiversity" (published in Cambridge University Press). He is an editor of the journal Ecology Letters, and a president of Czech Society for Ecology.
