PhDr. Michal Ajvaz

Michal Ajvaz was born on 30 October 1949 in Prague. From 1967 to 1974 he studied at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, worked as a hall worker, watchman, janitor and pumpman (1974-1994), then as editor of Literární noviny (Literary Newspapers, 1996-1999), and since 2003 he has been employed at the Center for Theoretical Study of Charles University and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
