Deep Anthropocene

DEEP ANTHROPOCENE

The roots of the Anthropocene reach into the distant past. Humans began to influence, and sometimes even control, the destinies of individual places and gradually the entire planet. The interconnectedness over time grew to a point where "nature" and human beings ("culture," if you will) can no longer be mutually separated without losing something very essential. The dynamics of such interactions are not trivial, and they can only be understood to a certain extent through a transdisciplinary approach.
