Transdisciplinary research on the Anthropocene (TRAN) is designated as one of the core scientific fields at Charles University. From 2022 to 2026, it is funded under the Cooperatio program.
Institutional support for the long-term conceptual development of the research organization is also directed at Charles University (UK) towards the establishment of new scientific groups within the Primus program. From this program, the project "Comprehensive Risks in Complex Systems" (22/HUM/020; 2022–2025) is supported within CTS.
In addition to that, CTS is involved in the project of University Research Center (UNCE):
- "Center for Research on Biodiversity Dynamics III" (UNCE/24/SCI/006; 2024–2029)
Ongoing partial grant projects are continuously addressed within the framework of the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR), Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR), etc. Currently, these include:
- "The equilibrium theory of biodiversity dynamics - macroecological perspective" (GA ČR EXPRO 20-29554X; 2020–2024)
- "BIODYNAMICS: Dynamics of Biotic Interactions in Time and Space" (GAČR 23-06386I; 2023–2027)
- "Scientific Literacy for a Resilient Society in the 21st Century" (TA ČR TQ1000365; 2023–2026)
- "Behavioral Economic Theory" (GA ČR 24-10145S; 2024–2027)
- "How to recognize evolutionary cradles and dead-end lineages? The devil, the details, and species diversification inference“ (GA ČR 24-12851O; 2024–2028)
- Palaeoecological reconstruction of ecosystems as a basis for conservation planning of protected areas (TA ČR SS07010074; 2024 – 2026)
- „The Land Gone Wild. Archaeological and Transdisciplinary Research on Resilience Strategies in the 20th Century" (CZ.02.01.01/00/23_025/0008705; 2025–2028)
- „The Challenges of Czech Architecture after 1989" (GA ČR 25-17198S; 2025–2027)
- "Long-term landuse dynamics within the areas of prehistoric ritual places"(GA ČR 25-15795K; 2025–2027)
