Felix Jeschke is a social and cultural historian of modern East-Central Europe. He studied history, Czech and Hungarian at the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies in London. His doctoral thesis (2016) examines the role of the railway system in creating a national spatial narrative in inter-war Czechoslovakia. In 2014-15, he worked as a guest researcher at Eötvös Loránd University and the Central European University in Budapest. His main research interests are the role of space and infrastructures in cultural history; the history of nationalism, transnationalism and national indifference; urban history; and Carpathian Ruthenia.
