Fake News: are we at 2+2=5?

“Fake News” seem to be everywhere, both in species and as an expression designating a troubling characteristic of present-day politics, the apparent virtualization of what used to be taken for factual reality. Check, double check, fact check, fake fact check, a number of ever more frequently used words that point to the serious question, the deceptive nature of “something”: is it truth? Is it factual reality? Or none of the above?
