Mgr. Michal Synek, Ph.D.

Michal Synek has studied religious studies and sociology. In the framework of his doctoral research project at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University he studied relations between various repertoires of caring and modes of ordering dis/ability. At the Centre for Theoretical Study he explores tensions between care for things and care for people in residential social services. He works as an advisor to self-advocates. He is interested in theoretical problems with practical impact at the crossroads of science and technology studies, disability studies and care studies.
