Eva Filippová

Funded by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Eva Filippova has been affiliated with CTS as a postdoctoral fellow since January 2007. Drawing on her background studies and research in anthropology, linguistics, and social-cognitive development, Eva is presently conducting a study on pre-school children’s developing understanding of others’ minds, with a specific focus on understanding of discourse irony. With her Slovak colleagues, Eva has been at the forefront of the development of research on social-cognitive underpinnings of deficits in cerebral-palsied children at in the Institute of Child Psychology and Psychopathology in Bratislava. She is currently initiating a research program focused on investigation of biological foundations of social-cognitive deficits.
