Mgr. Tomáš Telenský, Ph.D.

Ornithologist and ecologist. Focuses on population ecology of birds,
namely demography, drivers of population declines and increases in birds and spatial modelling of their distribution. Originally studied computer science
at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, and worked
for some time in the commercial sector. Then he decided to become an
ornithologist and worked first in the non-profit sector (Czech
Society for Ornithology), later he completed his PhD at the Faculty of
Science, Charles University. In addition to his academic research, he
participated in the production of two atlases of breeding bird
distribution, where he applied his statistical skills in the development
of new methods of statistical modelling of bird distribution. He also organized ornithological excursions for the public.
