Prof. RNDr. Roman Kotecký, DrSc.

E-mail: kotecky@cts.cuni.cz
He graduated from Department of theoretical physics at Charles University in Prague. His main research interests in mathematics and mathematical physics concern theory of phase transition of classical and quantum systems. He was employed in the department of theoretical physics at Charles University,
in the theory group of Microsoft Research in Redmond, and for more than 15 years
occupied a position of Professor at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Warwick. He has been a Panel Member of ERC Starting Grants Evaluation Panels (2007-2015) and was (or is) a member of editorial boards of the journals: Journal of Statistical Physics, Mathematical Physics Electronic Journal, Annales de l'Institut Henri Poincare D: Combinatorics, Physics and their Interactions, and Vesmír. Among his notable awards is A. von Humboldt Research Award and the Silver Medal (1st degree) of the Czech Union of Mathematicians and Physicists. He is a Fellow of the Learned Society of the Czech Republic.
