Rector of Charles University in Prague announces an opening at the Center for Theoretical Study for the position:
Postdoctoral researcher interested in one of the diciplines developed at the CTS, and open for transdisciplinary interactions and the dialogue between natural sciences and humanities/social sciences. Especially welcome are researchers interested in economic aspects of the interaction between nature and society. The position is for 2 years.
Requirements: Completed Ph.D. study, fluent English, demonstrated experience in sciences or humanities.
Required documents: A letter of intent together with a proposal of suggested research activities, specifying the links to CTS research topics, professional CV, list of publications, copy of the Ph.D. diploma or the confirmaton of the defence of Ph.D. dissertation or its submission.
Expected starting date is 1st November 2013.

Rektor Univerzity Karlovy v Praze vyhlašuje konkurz pro Centrum pro teoretická studia na místo vědeckého pracovníka na dva roky postdoktorandské praxe v některém z vědních oborů rozvíjených na tomto pracovišti.
Kvalifikační předpoklady: v době nástupu ukončené postgraduální (doktorské) studium, nejvýše však tři roky od udělení titulu Ph.D. (nebo ekvivalentu) a znalost anglického jazyka.
Požadované doklady: motivační dopis spolu s návrhem výzkumné činnosti pro období postdoktorandské praxe, stručný odborný životopis, seznam publikací, kopie diplomu, potvrzení o obhajobě nebo o odevzdání disertační práce.

David Storch of CTS is a member of the joint Czech-American scientific team, which discovered a new formula of biological diversity. Results of their research were published in the prestigious journal
Nature.
